Home-packed food is only allowed for students with approved dietary restrictions.

  • How do children pay for their lunch at the pre-k, elementary, middle, and high school levels?

All students at Seoul Foreign School (Pre‑K through Grade 12) pay for lunch through a pre-loaded account system, regardless of division—Pre‑K, Elementary, Middle, or High School.

    Here's how it works:

    Guardian funds student account via:

Bank transfer to KEB Hana Bank (account held by Crave Food: 307-910008-88604)

Credit card or cash deposit in person at the cafeteria
Transfers typically take one business day to process.

    Student uses cafeteria at mealtime:

The system deducts the cost of their lunch directly from their account.

Works uniformly across all grade levels—Pre‑K through high school.

    Account access and monitoring:

Guardians can view balance and transaction history online at sfs.cravefood.kr, using a registered Google or Naver guardian email.

Middle School & British Key Stage 3
Operates the same way: select, pay via account.

    High School
Same pre-loaded account system applies; menu options are tailored to older students but payment process remains identical.

  • What are some tips for parents with students in our pre-k, elementary, middle, and high school nutrition programs?

Here are some helpful tips for parents with children enrolled in Seoul Foreign School’s (SFS) nutrition program, tailored by division—Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, and High School:

    General Tips (All Divisions)

Set Up and Monitor the Lunch Account Early

Use sfs.cravefood.kr to preload funds and monitor meal usage.

Make sure your registered guardian email (Google or Naver) is connected for access.

    Review Weekly Menus Together

Menus are posted online weekly. Sit down with your child (especially younger ones) to talk through meal choices and preferences.

Discuss unfamiliar foods ahead of time to reduce lunchtime anxiety.

Set a Healthy Food Attitude at Home

Reinforce balanced eating at home. If your child sees you trying new vegetables or opting for healthier snacks, they’ll likely follow suit at school.

    Communicate Special Dietary Needs

If your child has allergies or restrictions, contact info@cravefood.kr early in the year so accommodations can be made.

    Pre-K & Elementary Tips

Talk about lunch routines: Younger children benefit from knowing what to expect—who helps them with trays, where they sit, how they ask for seconds, etc.

Practice independence: Encourage your child to open their own containers or make simple food choices to build confidence in the cafeteria line.

Reinforce hydration: Remind them to drink water with meals—especially on warmer days.

    Middle School Tips

Encourage balanced autonomy: Middle schoolers often have more freedom to choose. Talk about balancing favorites (like pasta or fried rice) with vegetables or fruit.

Track spending habits: Use the account system to gently monitor if your child is skipping meals or over-spending on extras.

Involve them in nutrition conversations: Ask what they liked or didn’t like, and help them reflect on how food affects their energy and focus.

    High School Tips

Promote fueling for focus: High school students may skip meals due to stress or time. Remind them that nutrition supports their performance—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Budget awareness: Use lunch accounts as a way to teach financial responsibility. Set limits or goals for weekly spending.

Meal prep collaboration: If your teen wants to bring a lunch or supplement with snacks, work together to make smart choices.

    Bonus Tips

Update funds regularly: Avoid lunchtime surprises by topping up the balance before it runs low.

Check for seasonal specials or themed days: These can be a fun incentive for kids to try something new.

Give feedback: Crave Food welcomes suggestions. If your child has recurring complaints or favorites, share them via info@cravefood.kr.
